Meet Sweet Miss L: 7 Days New
Say hello to beautiful Miss L, photographed at just 7 days old. She was such a little sweetheart, wide-eyed and curious, reminding me that every baby really does have their own personality right from the start.
You’ll often hear that newborn photography should be done before the 2 week mark. The reason behind this is that babies are generally sleepier in those early days, which can make it easier to capture those classic curled-up, dreamy poses. While that’s true in many cases, I don’t personally believe it’s absolutely necessary to rush in straight away.
Miss L is the perfect example. At only 7 days new and already as awake and alert as many babies I see at 4 weeks old! She gave us some gorgeous wide eyed photos, showing off all her tiny expressions. For me, it’s less about sticking to a strict timeline and more about making sure the timing works best for the parents. After all, those first few weeks at home can be a big adjustment, and I want families to feel comfortable and ready before coming in.
So whether your baby is 7 days old or a little older, we can still capture beautiful newborn photos that you’ll treasure forever. The most important thing is that you come in when it feels right for you.
