From Newborns to Big Siblings — It’s Always Nice to See Familiar Faces
One of the things I really enjoy about newborn photography is when families return to the studio with baby number two (or more!). It’s always such a nice surprise to see those tiny newborns I photographed not that long ago, now walking in as proud older siblings.
This lovely family recently came back to introduce us to their newest addition, sweet little Miss M, just 2 weeks old. It doesn’t feel like that long ago that we had their first baby in the studio, and now here they were again, this time with an extra little person in tow.
Watching an older sibling meet and cuddle their new baby sister or brother is always a bit special. Sometimes they’re shy, sometimes curious, and every now and then they jump straight into “big sibling” mode, ready to hold, snuggle, and help. It’s a milestone for them too, and it’s great to be able to capture that moment in photos.
If you’re expecting another baby and have been to the studio before, I’d love to welcome you back. These sessions are a great way to document not just your new baby, but your growing family as a whole.
