Dark grey is one of my favourite backdrops to use in the studio, and it’s easy to see why. It suits all skin tones beautifully and creates a timeless, classic feel that puts the focus right where it should be: on you and your family.
One of the things I love most about it is how versatile it is when it comes to what you wear. Whites and light neutrals really pop against the darker background, giving a clean and fresh look. If you’re after something softer or moodier, darker outfits can create a lovely blend with the background for a more understated, elegant feel.
It honestly just comes down to personal preference. Whether you want bold contrast or something more subtle, both options look amazing. That’s the beauty of a neutral backdrop like this, it works with just about everything. If I could pick only one colour backdrop to have in the studio, dark grey would be the one! 🙂
But let’s not let background colours steal the spotlight. Mr N was absolutely perfect during his Simple Newborn session. At just 10 days old, he did everything I needed without a fuss, from the peaceful sleepy poses along with those sweetest little yawns . Such a superstar.
His big brother and sister were just as adorable. They made my job easy! What a beautiful family. It was such a pleasure to have them in the studio.
Booking a session is easy. Just head over to my pricing page where you can see all of my packages and even book online. I have tried to make the whole process as easy as possible, because life with a newborn baby can be quite hectic! 🙂
