This sweet baby girl was wide awake for her entire session. She had the most precious expressions and such a naturally happy little face, it would have been a shame for her to sleep through the whole photo shoot.
I was excited for this session as I had previously photographed her big brothers as newborns too!
This session is typical of my latest workflow of my even more simplified semi-retirement newborn sessions. Baby is photographed naturally, whether awake or asleep, and I love how stress free they are.
I no longer try to encourage or push for sleepy shots. So, if those beautifully posed, super sleepy newborn images are what you have your heart set on, I may not be the photographer for you. And that’s perfectly okay.
