Pets are family too, right? As an animal lover with a big soft spot for dogs, I’m thrilled to say my studio is pet-friendly! Your furry pals are welcome to join any session—newborn, maternity, or family. If you’re planning to bring your pet along, here are a few things to keep in mind for a smooth experience:
First off, adding pets into the mix can turn things up a notch! Even the most well-behaved dogs can go full puppy-mode in an unfamiliar space. So, if you’re dreaming of a calm, peaceful session, it might be better to let your pup sit this one out.
Just like toddlers, dogs have their limit for being on their best behavior (and honestly, I think that’s adorable). Once they’re over it, they’ll let us know! To keep things stress-free, it’s a great idea to have someone ready to take your pup for a walk after their shots are done.
And here’s a little heads-up: some pups get a touch overprotective when their new baby sibling is in the spotlight. I’ve been on the receiving end of a growl or two when trying to pose with the new arrival! If your dog tends to get defensive, it’s safest to leave them at home.
Oh, and one last thing: please let me know in advance if your pet will be joining the fun by filling out the session details form. I need to prep the studio with a little extra flair when pets are involved, and I can only schedule them for the last session of the day (extra cleanup is a must to keep everything spotless for my tiny human clients). There’s a small fee to cover this added prep and cleaning time.
